Brussels is in the midst of a “terror dragnet”, and its hurting. Bad.
From metro stations to shopping malls to offices — you name it — it’s all closed and shutdown in the city as police, soldiers and other security personnel hunt down terrorists who are part of a cell linked to ISIS and the recent attacks in Paris.
But, if social media has proven anything in Belgium lately, it’s this: the people within its borders and beyond have yet to lose their resolve, and, their sense of humor.
Take this for example: when Belgian counterterrorism authorities requested that people not tweet about any activity they happened to see (so as not to thwart a potential raid by alerting its targets of the surprise) they responded in a very … playful … adorable way?
That might be the only way to describe it.
