The guys at Mythbusters spend their time using scientific principles and state-of-the-art equipment to answer life’s questions and bust popular urban legends. Yesterday, they posted a video that is sure to make any firearm aficionado’s heart flutter.

Slow motion gun shots are a staple in photography and videography, but they have never gotten this slow. Using a special camera called a Phantom, Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage recorded a pistol firing at 73,000 frames per second. The results are nothing less than breathtaking.
