In what looks like something out of the combustible playbook of a one Wile E. Coyote, a single ISIS flag chilling on a hill like the insect that it is, is targeted and blown to nothingness by allied aircraft weaponry somewhere between the Turkish border and the Syrian city of Kobane (the following footage was taken in October of 2014).

Was it worth the money for the expensive projectile and the fuel and the flight, etc. etc. just to blow up a dark pennant on a boring hill somewhere in the wide, desert expanse of the Middle East?
