Yes, this GIF was made with a camera capable of capturing life at a million frames per second. That’s how you can see something as quick as the movement of bullet out of a gun (below) and it actually works.
To put it into context, one of the first moving photographic images ever — Eadweard Muybridge’s race horse galloping published in 1887 — was between 12 to 14 frames per second.
