According to CBS 12 News and the Associated Press, Daytona Beach, Florida city commissioners have given the “go ahead” to allow an indoor shooting range to incorporate a restaurant that serves alcohol. Booze. Drink. Cocktails. Spirits. Sauce. Firewater.

But before you go ahead and proclaim your distaste for the land mass south of Georgia via bullhorn, curry it with this fact (also via the aforementioned report): the commissioners “raised safety concerns over the mix of alcohol and guns on the same property before voting on the measure”.

Ron Perkinson told commissioner the group plans to turn the vacant building into an upscale restaurant, not a bar. But he says he needs alcohol sales to make the restaurant profitable. He told commissioners he’ll keep a watch list of customers who may cause trouble and will call police when necessary.
