While it may sound like something from a bad action movie, it’s apparently a real thing.

Both the U.S. Army and Portuguese military apply the training, as seen in the video above — in this instance they’re at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany.

What does the training exactly accomplish? Aside from try and coax humans into going against a fear that’s been developed over thousands of years of evolution? Well, this is what they “say” it does:
