One of the largest automakers in the United States of America, GM, has a program that gives qualified current, retired service members, and veterans within one year of discharge a discount on the purchase of an eligible, new Chevrolet, Buick or GMC vehicle. It’s a deal that could potentially save them hundreds, and even thousands, of dollars.

To start taking advantage of this deal, and to see if you qualify, click here.

Once you do, you’ll be taken to a screen to verify your military status. If you’re already verified, simply “sign in.”

When this is completed, there are only a few more steps left, and they’re all mapped out on the page you’ll be taken to once verified — the GM Military Discount program page.

You’ll be ready “to deploy your savings” once you’ve completed the following steps:

Step 1: Start shopping for the vehicle you’d like to buy. This section includes options to “build & price” and view current offers.

Step 2: Get an authorization number. This take this to the dealer when you’re ready to purchase.

Step 3: Find the nearest Chevrolet, Buick or GMC Dealer. You can use this online search tool to find the one closest to you. Once you’re ready to visit, take your authorization number and mention the program to your salesperson at the dealership.
