President Barack Obama and Russian leader Vladimir Putin had lunch earlier in the week at the 70th General Assembly of the United Nations, meeting face to face for the first time since Russia invaded Crimea back in February of last year.

The indignation for the modern tsar of the former Soviet Union is clearly evident on the face of POTUS. Vitriol is written on every line of his mug. The drink he’s about to imbibe is sweet, but it couldn’t have tasted more bitter. Vlad is stoney as usual, with that slight hint of a sh*t-eating grin lightly brushed on his pale visage.

Seriously though: what does this hatred say about future relations between Russia and the United States? Will it stay at a nice temperate and that’s it? Or will it eventually boil over and cause another conflict and/or war where — once again — our military service members are forced to put their lives on the line because the ruskies suddenly feel strong again?
