St. Louis Rams cheerleader and Marine 1st Lt. Candace Valentine stole the show when her military husband surprised her on the field.
The preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts was Candace’s first time cheering on the Rams from the sidelines. As is Rams tradition, a ‘Soldier Salute’ was played on the big screen to pay tribute to the military members connected to the team–including Candace’s husband, 1st Lt. August Valentine. Unbeknownst to the cheerleader, both teams collaborated to bring her husband home from South Korea so he could support her.
After the Soldier Salute concluded, Candace was shocked to see her husband standing in the flesh right on the field.
This touching reunion occurred during the first quarter time-out, and the military couple embraced in the end zone.
Unfortunately, the Rams lost to the Colts 24-14.
