Most physically fit adults would balk at BattleFrog’s 24-hour Xtreme (BFX24) race.

Designed to mimic the same courses used to train Navy SEALs, the obstacle course challenges athletes to spend 24 hours swimming an 8-kilometer course and running through 25 obstacles for six laps.

Nine-year-old Milla Star Bizzotto conquered that course with ease.

Milla is a past winner of several BattleFrog obstacle courses and other athletic events. She started physical training in order to shake off bullies at school, only to discover that she loved racing.

“I don’t get bullied anymore. I know how to stand up for myself now. And I love what I do. I want to do it forever,” she told the Miami Herald.

Milla previously ran a 15k BattleFrog race with 50 obstacles. After crossing the finish line, she said it was “easy.” Whoah.

But a 15k is one thing. A full day straight of racing and swimming is another. Milla and her father Christian Bizzotto started training for BFX24 in November in order to build the stamina and skill necessary to finish the obstacle course.

The young athlete was the only runner under the age of 18 to participate in BFX24. Race organizers cleared her for participation, but only if her dad ran alongside her.

Everyone was blown away by Milla’s performance during the race–even her dad.

“She literally murdered it,” Bizzotto said to the Miami Herald. “I was so convinced the race was going to crush her. I wanted to prove to her that it’s tougher than she thought. But when we finished it, all she wanted to do was another lap.”

When you marvel at Milla’s abs and athletic record, remember that Bizzotto never pushed his daughter to do something she didn’t want to do. Their many Youtube, Facebook and Instragram videos show many examples of Milla being given room to make mistakes, time for breaks and the choice to try something new. What you see here is the product of a father-daughter team working and failing together.

And that kind of parenting is pretty awesome.
