We have already written about the drool-worthy ‘Always Loyal’ photo series, which features the most chiseled male veterans to ever disrobe, so we’re going to give the ladies a chance to shine.

Pin Up for Vets is a group of female military veterans that pose for and sell 1940s pin up calendars to fund veteran hospitals. The nonprofit has traveled to military bases across the United States and around the globe distributing their calendars, helping deployed and wounded troop every step of the way.

Here is their impact, as told by Pin Up for Vets founder Gina Elise:

To date, we have donated over $50,000 worth of state-of-the-art rehab equipment for VA & Military hospitals nationwide. We are also in the middle of a 50-state VA and Military hospital tour where we bring in donated calendars as gifts of appreciation to our hospitalized Veterans and Wounded Warriors. We have individually visited over 7,000 ill and injured Veterans at their bedsides in 51 VA Hospitals, Military hospitals & State Veterans Homes in 29 states across the US.

The nonprofit has released nine calendars since its inception, and it has received numerous community service awards and recognition from Congress.

Marine veteran Jovane Marie explained to IJ Review why she and other female veterans got involved in this organization.

“Not only does it serve as a fundraising tool to ensure that we can complete our mission, and bring joy to our troops, veterans and supporters worldwide – it also shows the diversity of the veteran community and proves that women veterans can be both beautiful AND tough,” Marie said. “We can go to war AND pose as pinups. We don’t have to choose – we can be both! And I think that is a very important message.”
