This sign was posted here, by a “Redditor” named “boldpatriot”. Whether it’s earnest or not, it’s a dissenting argument to the stance posed by this sign — which is basically that the exploding bangs and pops of fireworks are harrowing for some combat veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

I think the original sign was meant more for people setting off their own personal firecrackers in adjoining yards and such.

Look, I’m a Combat Veteran (US Army) and I freaking hate fireworks. But this just strikes me as a cry for attention.

Thank you for not making your problem, my problem. THAT is what true service is all about.
