If you’re a fan of old military war machines that fly, then this will no doubt tickle your aeronautical fancy.

Ladies, gents: meet the pilots of the Texas Flying Legends. Back in 2011, they congregated on the Caribbean island of Saint-Barthélemy (an “overseas collectivity of France”) with the keys to vintage FG-1D Corsairs and P-51D Mustangs and P-40K Warhawks. The footage below is the product of this one-in-a-lifetime convergence of World War II superstar aircraft, daringly skilled pilots and a famously treacherous and “extreme” commercial airports in the world (i.e. a 2,100-foot runway that leaves little to no room for pilot error).

Nutty patterns, super low high-speed flybys and other hijinks are all captured.

Enjoy.
